A Look into Luxury - March 16th, 2024

This week witnessed a modest pace in the luxury real estate market, with only 9 homes priced at $3 million or above sold, and notably, no sales exceeding $10 million. The inventory of such homes experienced a slight increase to 719. However, a significant development was observed in the number of homes priced at $3 million or higher that are currently under contract, which saw an increase of 20, bringing the total to 180. This trend suggests a robust luxury selling season during the prime months of March and April.

No major shifts were noted in the market for homes over $10 million, which maintains an inventory of 85 homes for sale and 7 under contract. Similarly, the segment for homes priced over $14 million showed an increase to 50 homes for sale and 4 under contract. Both price points indicate a substantial supply of inventory that could last for years.
